What You Doing Wednesday Week 37

I hope everyone is having a good week.
Hope you are all getting ready for Christmas.

This last weekend we decorated
our house.

It's gone very wintery over here
so the fire is a defernate must :-)

I'm making Christmas presents at the moment so
my designs are on hold.
Little Red has a group of friends. There are 6 kids in the family
ranging in age from 6 to 12 years old.
Over the year they have asked if I can make certain things.
So for Christmas I am treating them to the things they really wanted.
I've made one a monkey - you can see that on Friday as it's already finished.
I'm in the middle of making another one a cat

Sorry about the bad pictures.
Little Red has been off ill today.
He had a temperature this morning
so I kept him off school.
There isn't anything specific yet but he is really quiet, tired
and just not himself.
I hope he'll be either better or what ever he has appears.
At least that way we could deal with it.

I am also making a dress for Sophie.
it's easier to make the black cat in natural light.
So this is my relaxing repetitive peace I can pick up.
I've been buying her some nice clothes to wear.
She's all wrapped up for the cold weather.
I've also bought her a moses basket to keep her in.
I felt guilty putting her away in a box and I think it will keep her
cleaner and safer.
I know it's only a doll and I'm turning into a soft touch.
It's also cool having a girl doll to dress up in cute clothes.
I can't have anymore children with my illness
as there is a likelyhood I could get worse.
So this way I get to dress up and design cute things
without all the hassle.

Pain has been bad lately so crocheting is keeping my mind off it.
I don't want to keep uping my medication.
At least with crocheting it takes my mind off focusing on the pain
and I achieve something at the same time.

I've just started a new book but
I can't remeber what it's called.
I've tried a few over the last week that haven't
been my thing.
I usually try and get to the end of the 1st chapter at least
but if it's still dragging and I'm still not enjoying it
then it's goodbye and then onto the next.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.

  1. Sorry your pain has been worse! Crochet really helps me too when my joints are hurting. I first got addicted in order to distract the pain of a bad case of shingles. Looking forward to your finished projects!

    1. Thanks. It is amazing how crocheting can make you cope with more pain.
